RLC model parameters

Hi,

Is there way to generate the values of the R,L,and C from the layout routing structure information with the length, width, distance from subtract etc.

in the cadence spectre? I just want to use the RLC schematic unit model for the high speed(10 GHz clock) layout routing for the simulation.

Thanks,
Soon

    Hi Soon,

the tool you are looking for is called QRC.  This will take a LVS-clean layout view and extract the parasitic devices. After the extraction you
can refine (filter) the results and create a netlistable cellview which Spectre can simulate. You will need the runset files for the LVS and the
extraction for your technology node and the software ( PVS/QRC).

    Kind regards,

    Marc
