How to creat a uniform distribution in source file for Monte-Carlo simulation?

Hello all,

Does anyone know how to creat a uniform distribution in source file for Monte-Carlo simulation? As the gaussian distribution is:

vary seed dist=gauss std=1

And could you recommend a document which details this part of Cadence?

Thank you very much in advance.

It's not clear what you're actually asking here. Are you asking if you can create a VerilogA view and then simulate that from OCEAN? If so, then the answer is yes - you just either use a config (with the hierarchy editor) as the design and pick the VerilogA view to use for the cell in question (you can also control it via the view list - corresponds to Setup->Environment in ADE - if you're not using a config).

If you're asking if you can use VerilogA syntax in the OCEAN script itself, then the answer is no.

If you want to generate a random number in OCEAN (which is just SKILL), then  you can just use the random() function (type "help random" in the CIW to find out a short summary of how it works).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
