How to extract MPP cut shapes

Hi,

I have a MPP which is constructed like a co-axial shield.

My problem is, the connectivity of the Subpart->Subrectangle are not extracted.

I heard that in cadence 6.1.6.500.8 / 9 /10 there is an envar to fix this

envSetVal("layoutXL" "_extractIgnoreMPPCutShapes" ‘boolean nil)

But I am using cadence 6.1.6.500.7, the envar mentioned above is not yet registered to this cadence version.

Anyone who has a solution?

Thanks in advance,

Ferdinand

    Hi Andrew and Lawrence,

    Thanks for your response.

Unfortunately I have no freedom to deviate from our project environment so I can't use later cadence version,

and indeed I am left with a workaround to assign nets manually(or  by skill).

    regards,

    Ferdinand
