Embedding or popping out the Palette window from the layout editor...

After getting used to having the Palette embedded in the layout window unlike the LSW of old, I recently started a 6.1.6 project where the Palette window is independent of the layout window. This is driving me nuts because it is always buried and with the advent of wide screen monitors, I much prefer to have it as part of the layout window.

I suspect this is my CAD group playing tricks on me again, but I cannot find instructions on how to embed the Palette back into the layout window. Clicking Window -> Assistants has no "Palette" option to make this happen. Checking for environment variables with the keyword PALETTE in them only turns up CDS_PALETTE_TYPE=SingleWindow.

So... What am I overlooking?

Thanks,

David

Thanks. That did the trick and sure enough, I found where the CAD group slipped  the setting in. Evidently they have some folks who like the old LSW style window.

    Cheers,

    David
