ams license queuing

Hi All,

We have license token limit per user at our organization. So when I hit my token limit, I receive below error:

Trying to check out license...
AMS_Designer_Verification 14.20 - Failed
Virtuoso_Multi_mode_Simulation 14.10 - Failed
ncsim: *F,NOLICN: Unable to checkout license for the simulation. (flag - 18) 'lic_error -87'.

However instead of simulation failure, I would like to queue licenses until they are available.

I have already added below argument in ADE options form (additional argument field):

-licq -spectre_args "+lqt 0"

But above option seems to queue only Spectre licenses for me. For ams it directly fails and reports above mentioned error.

Is there any other options I need to use along with above argument? Any help would be highly appreciated!

Regards,

Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,

Which subversion of irun are  you using? (i.e. what does "irun -version" return?). I found CCR 1510624 which says that it was broken for a while and appears to have been fixed in INCISIVE 14.2 s024 and INCISIVE 15.1 s011. That's of course assuming that you're seeing the same thing.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
