How can I edit the purpose of Pcell'Layers

tahm
tahm over 9 years ago

Hello,

I am using TSMC18 with Cadence IC6, and when I flat the pcell (for instance nmos2V) as follow: Edit -» Hierarchy -» flatten. I have my layer's Diff and my layer's metal with Rectangle Pin's purpose. I want to change it to rectangle without pin.

How can I change the purpose of layers of pcell?

Thanks,

Mohammed Tahir

    Hi Mohammed,

Your question is a bit unclear. If you're asking about how to change the purpose of the layers within the PCell without flattening it, then the simple answer is that you can't unless you redefine the PCell. Since you don't have the source code for that, you can't do so unless you re-implement it yourself.

That said, why does this matter? It seems a bit strange to want to do this - what problem are you actually trying to solve?

    Regards,

    Andrew.
