Get help about a parameter using command

Hi,

Could you guide me how can I get information about a parameter of mosfet using commands?

For example, to get help from spectre, use "spectre -h".

To get information about mos1, use "spectre -h mos1".

How about the information about ron of mos1. I tried "spectre -h mos1 ron" but it is wrong.

ron is listed in the Operating Point parameters section of the "spectre -h mos1" output, however it doesn't give much detail. For more detail you can go to <MMSIMinstDir>/doc/spectremod/spectremod.pdf and there's a chapter on each model (some are grouped together) with equations and so on. For a couple of the models (e.g. bsim4) we've put a cross-reference from the operating point parameters to the relevant equations (so right at the end of the bsim4 chapter there is the same operating point parameters listing, with references to the equation numbers where relevant).

For ron, it will be the same for all models (I think) and it's just vds/ids.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

<MMSIMinstDir> is the UNIX path where your MMSIM software (which contains spectre) is installed. So in a UNIX shell you should be able to do:

    cds_root spectre

and it can tell you where it is. Or:

    cd `cds_root spectre`/doc/spectremod

and look at the PDF. Or you can invoke "cdnshelp" to access the help system.

I don't know what you mean about "looking for command list in Cadence?". Cadence is a company - so what are you asking?

    Regards,

    Andrew

Thank you very much! I see it now. With command, I meant to say the command list used by the simulator.
