Cadence questions and Calibre

Pyroblast

Hi guys,

I'd like to ask a question, in first place, related to cadence. What the vault and mirror are and how they work?

Regarding Calibre, what does RVE means and what's its usefulness?

Kind regards.

Neither of these questions are related to Cadence (the company) or the tools that we provide (I believe).

The terms "vault" and "mirror" are usually associated with Design Management solutions (e.g. DesignSync, IC Manage, VersIC, SOS and others) which are from third party companies (Cadence connection partners). The term vault normally means the central repository for all the version-managed data, and the term mirror is used to refer to a local cache of a set of versions to allow more efficient access of a set of versions. You should contact your DM vendor for more details.

Calibre is a product from Mentor Graphics. RVE is their debugging environment which interfaces to Virtuoso. You should contact them. A 2 second google search for "Calibre RVE" gave me this as the first hit:

    Regards,

    Andrew.
