Issues with GIOLIB045 and GSCLIB045 PDKs

I requested my University to install 45nm libraries from Cadence and both GIOLIB045 and GSCLIB045 seems to have lot of mismatch issues and looks like incomplete migration from 90 to 45nm PDK.

There are lot of references to GPDK090 and tons of DRC and LVS errors. Am I the only one experiencing these issues?

I had checked the latest version of the standard cell and IO libraries:

    gsclib045_all_v4.4 and giolib045_v3.2

In the root of these libraries (i.e. the directory containing the libraries themselves - the ones you'd reference in your cds.lib) there should be a file called "release" which would give the version number.

I checked using some SKILL code that I have and there are no references to gpdk090 - it's all 45nm technology and the libraries themselves. I also did a couple of quick Assura DRC/LVS of certain cells (not the IO library because I didn't have time) and that ran OK.

So my guess is that you have an old version (or a corrupted version).

If you are a company that is under software maintenance, then you can have a Cadence Online Support login yourself - you just need to know the hostid of the license server to register. If you are from academia, then there's info at:  and

    Regards,

    Andrew
