id equals ids even ibulk is non zero

I am reading about the difference between id and ids in DC operating point parameters.

I read an old post in the forum saying this:

id is the resistive current through the drain. ids is the resistive current between the drain and the source. Since some of the current may flow through the bulk, they could be different.

However, from my simulation in the picture, ibulk is not zero but id equals ids. Could you explain?

Did you try increasing the precision when displaying those numbers? The default is only 4 significant digits and so you wouldn't see such a small difference with only 4 digits...

    Thank you.

I tried with 9 significant digits and the result is exactly the same. I tried to increase to 16 significant digits but if I remember correctly (I am not at work now) the software doesn't allow to have more than 9 significant digits.

I will try it again when I come back to work.

Without knowing more details of your model, not sure I can help more. Can you maybe report this to customer support?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

I assume that means you are a student. If so, you can still obtain support - the precise mechanism depends on your University scheme. In Europe, you typically would go via Europractice; in many other parts of the world, you would go via the professor who is running your local scheme (one person has full access to Cadence Online Support)..

Thank you. I am a student. I will ask about that but it doesn't seem to be easy here.
