when I use ncverilog generate verilog netlist from schmatic, It does not generate the one that contained functional view.

verilogSimStopList =
'("verilog" "pld_verilog" "lai_verilog" "lmsi_verilog" "symbol" )

verilogSimViewList =
'("behavioral" "functional" "system" "verilog" "pld_verilog" "lai_verilog" "lmsi_verilog" "schematic" "symbol" )

simVerilogLibraryDirectory = ""

vlogifCompatibilityMode = "4.0"

 I do not why this happen.

Thanks.

    This is why we ask you not to post twice. I answered this in the other thread, and so the answers now will get scattered between the two threads.

    In IC5141 the only way to get a combined netlist is to use the vlogIfCompatibilityMode="4.0" switch. When I just tried that, it did include the functional views in the combined netlist (sorry - I thought that it didn't).

    Which IC5141 subversion are you using? I'm using the final version 5.10.41.500.6.151 . Does the functional view get mentioned in the verilog.inpfiles (if you have the compatibility mode set to "4.2")?

    If it doesn't, then it may be that the functional view doesn't have the "shadow" database to aid netlisting. Try opening it for edit inside Virtuoso, add a blank line, save and exit and see if the Verilog parser kicks in - you should see a "verilog.cdb" file getting created inside the functional view.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
