ADE simulation setup toolbar missing buttons

Hello:

I am using Virtuoso Custom IC Design Environment Version IC6.1.7-64b.500.12

ADE L or XL ADE simulation setup toolbar is missing buttons. Mine just looks as follows:

How could I restore them to the default version.

The default simulation setup toolbar buttons should look like this.

I read in the ADE user manual but no luck.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Try doing (in the terminal window):

    cdswhich -all menus/simui.menus

I suspect you've got some local override of the "HoriFixedMenu" definition which is normally in this file (located in <ICinstDir>/tools/dfII/etc/tools/menus). I'd suggest moving aside the simui.menus file (if you locate it with cdswhich) to see if that fixes it.

    Andrew.

I have found simui.menus using the cdswhich command at two different locations. Shall move them to another location and see if it fixes the problem?
I am encountering this issue and another related problem after updating to IC6.1.7-64b.500.12
    Thanks

It will load the first it finds - so if you move that, it would load the second. Probably best to move them both - or at least understand why they have been created and what customisation they are trying to achieve. Maybe you can look at the contents and compare with the standard file at <ICinstDir>/tools/dfII/etc/tools/menus/simui.menus

    Regards,

    Andrew.
