Is there a method for simulating a circuit with varying temperature?

I wanted to know if there was a method for varying the temperature with time. How might one go about doing this?

Thank you

    Hi Paul,

You can use the 'Dynamic Parameter' in the tran analysis. You haven't mentioned if you are running Spectre in standalone or through ADE. To find out how to use the 'Dynamic Parameter':

    - If you run the simulations in standalone, look for 'Dynamic Parameters during Transient Analysis' in Spectre Circuit Simulator Reference documentation. (I'm adding the links in case you have access to the support site)

    https://support.cadence.com/apex/techpubDocViewerPage?xmlName=spectreref.xml&title=Spectre%20Circuit%20Simulator%20Reference%20--%203%20-%20Transient%20Analysis%20(tran)&hash=1063371&c_version=17.1&sq=005d0000002mxbiAAA_20185484341345&path=spectreref/spectreref17.1/chap3.html#1063371

-If you run the simulations through ADE, look for 'dynamic parameters' in transient analysis section in Virtuoso Analog Design Environment L User Guide:

    https://support.cadence.com/apex/techpubDocViewerPage?xmlName=anasimhelp.xml&title=Virtuoso%20Analog%20Design%20Environment%20L%20User%20Guide%20--%204%20-%20Setting%20Up%20an%20Analysis&hash=1019472&c_version=IC6.1.7&sq=005d0000002mxbiAAA_2018548522234&path=anasimhelp/anasimhelpIC6.1.7/chap5.html#1019472

    Dimitra
