Schematic check and save error

Hello,

I am a newbie to this forum so excuse me for mt first question.

I am getting some strange error without any explanation while performing "check and save" for my schematic on virtuoso.

Error reads:

*Error* round: argument #1 should be a number (type template = "n") - nil

Version: ICADV12.3-64b.500.21

Can someone share the reason for this and possible fix to try out?

Thank you!

Harsh

    Hi Harsh,

    Please enter these in the CIW:

    _stacktrace=50
    tracelength=tracelevel=50
    sstatus(errsetTrace t)

    Then do the check-and-save. Please then post any stack trace info you get in the CIW.

    Thanks,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

    The log that is generated after running your commands has my employer's information that I am not sure if I can share publicly.

    Any other way to share it?

    Regards,

    Harsh

    Andrew,

    It is solved.

    Thank you for your help!

    It was due to missing one of the parameters for the device.

    Regards,

    H

    Harsh,

    My guess is that the trace info only gave company information because there was some company-specific customisation doing a custom check. Check and Save doesn't normally check parameters on the devices, so I can only assume there is an error in this custom check and it does not gracefully produce an error when a parameter is missing. You might want to get somebody in your company to fix that custom check (assuming my guess about this being a custom check is true).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
