Cannot extract spectre transient simulation data using Matlab

I am using a Matlab code to extract Spectre transient simulation data for diode devices.  It worked when my tool versions are as follows:

mmsim 11.1.ISR20

matlab 7.11

redhat 6

But when I switched over to the following tool versions, my Matlab code no longer works:

mmsim 16.1.ISR9

matlab 8.3

readhat 6

The funny thing is, using the same Matlab code in the latter tool versions I have no problem extracting DC operating data for diode devices.  It also works for both MOSFET DC an transient device data.

Do I just need to change Matlab to another version (if so, which ones?)?  Or was there some sort of change in the diode device transient data format between mmsim 11 and mmsim 16 that my Matlab code need to adapt to?

"Doesn't work" isn't very specific. However, you are using a 5 year old version of Matlab with a 3 year old version of Spectre.

There is coverage of what was tested at the time Matlab-SpectreRF support matrix MMSIM 7.2, 10.1, 11.1 which suggests that MATLAB 8.3 (2014a) should work with SPECTRE16.1 (in 64 bit mode).

So what exactly doesn't work? I may be able to test this when back in my office next week (I'm travelling this week and so don't have access to every version I normally would).

    Andrew.

Problem solved. I had to change the save format to psfxl and save all currents.  According o mmsim 16.1 "What's New" there was a change in the save options.

Ah, good timing - I was literally just starting to look at this!

Hi Andrew.  Is there any documentation I can look at to see which Matlab versions are compatible with mmsim 16.1?  From an older post you mentioned that the "Matlab Support Matrix" section in Spectre simulator manual isn't updated anymore, which is definitely true in the 16.1 manual.  I am also interested in knowing the matrix for mmsim 17, 18, and 19.
