Incorrect netlist of a circuit containing multibit instances from the analogLib (IC6.1.8)

It happens that simulations cannot start because of errors found by spectre in 'multibit_pcell' during hierarchy flattening. The typical error message reads: ERROR (SFE-1997): "input.scs" line#: IABC.V0: parameter `dc': Cannot run the simulation because parameter 'a0' has been used but no value has been assigned to it.

I have discovered this issue can be solved in a test editor respectively in an ADE-L session, by manually launching "Recreate Netlist". But then, how can netlist recreating automatically be forced before any test simulation in ADE-XL?

Take a look at https://support.cadence.com/apex/ArticleAttachmentPortal?id=a1Od0000000nXRwEAM. However, trying to find the root cause of the problem as Andrew suggested is probably still a good idea.

Thanks Frank. That workaround is not something we'd want to encourage except in the case of working around a short-term bug, as it leads to a loss in performance by disabling the incremental netlisting... hence my request to work through customer support.

    Andrew.
