how to create own via in cadence software

hello sir, is there any method to create own via in cadence (IC 6.15)? I know in the cadence there are custom vias that are available to make the layout design.
2).when I draw my layout design through custom via there is a cross sign above the via. what are the mistakes done by me?

    Yes, you can define custom vias in the technology file of the technology library you're using. Why do you need to create a custom via? It's preferable to use standard vias if possible.

    Very hard to know what you've done wrong when you haven't really explained what you've actually tried.

    when I draw the layout of my design i connect the one metal layer to another metal layer through custom via. In used Via shows a cross sign(means a wrong  symbol X). When I drag these via they show min-width and Min area related text. how can I resolve this issue?
