It's not entirely clear what you're referring to in that long thread. Please post the actual error you're getting - that will make it clearer and then hopefully somebody can answer you?

    Andrew.

what i meant is , i solved the problem (illegal library definition) by choosing section info from dropdown list in setup/model library dialog of ade L as you advised.

but now i am not in ADE L,  i am in liberate 15.1, there is not a set_var i can use to give this info to liberate. only the following.

        set_var extsim_model_include ${rundir}/models/gpdk045.scs

but if i remove library and section info from gpdk045.scs, this will be resolved, but i fancy there must be a set_var there to do this job, so i don't have to taint anything.

    Hi,

    Please migrate to latest Liberate19.2.

extsim_model_include should be supported with 15.1 as well. What is the problem? If your gpdk045.scs has corner sections, please use a wrapper file to call the specific section.

You can't. We do not release the source code of our products - I'm surprised you think that we might do that.

    Andrew.

I'm sorry, but this is nonsense. I've worked for Cadence for 25 years and this has never been the policy, as is the case with most commercial software companies. There's a small (but very unlikely) chance that Altos used to do this before their acquisition by Cadence in 2011, but that seems rather unlikely for a startup in a competitive market.

I would not expect to download source code of liberate, that was just kidding.

But i remeber i could download all the software here such as ic617 etc, all of them,

    Just by logging in.

I wish i downloaded gpdk at that time:-p

You can download the software releases from http://downloads.cadence.com provided you have a support account (so just a cadence.com account won't be enough, and never has been); similarly you can download GPDK releases from http://pdk.cadence.com with a support account.

    This hasn't changed.

    Andrew.
