Techgen Error: Starting Triangle not defined

HI all,

I am trying to generate a qrcTechFile using Techgen and my own ICT file. However, I have run into a problem. My first question is whether I am running Techgen correctly (I have never worked with Cadence before). I try to run the Techgen simulation with my ICT file as an input, is this correct or should I use a different file. If this is the case: which file?

When running "Techgen -si <ICTfile> " I get the following error statement:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interconnect Capacitance Modeler Techgen64 Version s18.1.2132

Does anybody have an idea how to fix this error?

This suggests that something is wrong with the consistency of the ICT file. I would suggest you contact customer support as seeing the data will make this easier to debug.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your reply! I am now using a test ICT file with just 3 layers and a VIA. However, since it is a test file the layers start from a specific height and have nothing in between the substrate and the first layer. Could this be the problem?

Could be - I don't know without spending time checking. That's why I suggested contacting customer support (I really have not played sufficiently with Techgen to know how it behaves with incorrect ICT files).

    Andrew.

I fixed the error with Techgen and am now able to both simulate and compile my ICT file. However, I do have some problems with running Quantus. Do you have any idea how to set it up with the Techgen compiled files?
