Creating layout window when clicked on the custom menu in schematic

The schematic my cell is getting open open repeatedly. And layout view is not getting created. 

And geOpen() function i have 'a  'r mode to open cellview for edit and read respectively

I can't see any reason why opening a new layout window this way would open a schematic repeatedly (there's a possibility that if it was an existing layout view set to open in VLS XL, it might open the corresponding schematic, but it's not clear that's the case here).

Without seeing your actual code, guessing what you're doing is nigh on impossible.
