Mapping the net names of schematic netlist and layout netlist

DEEPWATER

Hello,

Through the LVS process, we can extract the schematic netlist and layout netlist.

In the schematic netlist and layout netlist extracted by this process, the net name may be different even for the same net.

Are there any ways to match the layout netlist's net name and the schematic netlist's net name?

thanks

Match how? You mean to guide LVS? Given that LVS works on non-connectivity layout data, it derives the nets itself and I'd expect nets to match - how else are they being named? Which LVS tool are you using? What exactly are you asking (and for what purpose)?

Hi, I'm having the same doubt, the device/net name in the extview file from assura QRC isn't same as the instance name in the layout.
eg: the name in extview is avC7 and not the instance name like (MP2)
