Find and replace variable names (and names in general) in ADE Assembler expressions

Hello everyone!

Is there an easy way to find and replace all the occurrence of a design variable/global variable name in all my ADE Assembler expressions (written under the Details column)?

As an example, let's imagine I start working on a testbench using the global variable Resistor. I'll create all my expressions with VAR("Resistor"). Then I find a name that suits much better, like Rs.
Is there a way to easily replace all VAR("Resistor") with VAR("Rs") in the ADE Assembler UI?

Thank you!

I'm not aware of a way to do this. You could try doing a search and replace in the maestro.sdb text file although I've never actually tried this myself.

I didn't see the original post (there's been an issue with occasional missing notifications on the forums).

The easiest way of doing this is to save the expressions to a file (there's a save icon at the top of the Outputs Setup tab), edit the file, and then use the icon to the left of it to load it back in again. In IC25.1 ISR3 there will be an icon to do this in one step - it will save, launch an editor, and then re-load when the editor exits.

You can also Export/Import variables to CSV (use the right mouse button menu over the Global Variables or Design Variables) to edit variable names.
