Hi Andrew,

I found " Adding elements to open form in SKILL" questionwhich was answered by you in this blog. However,  I cannot cut and paste your code to  "vi" session because there are some garbage characters and all carriage returns are missed. How do I find your code as attachment in cadence.com ?

Thanks,

ManChak

Hello, I’ve got a question about a form. I have a form created with hiCreateAppForm function and then it was also displayed using hiDisplayFunction . Is there any possibility using…

Anyway, I just used firefox on Linux and successfully copied and pasted the code into vi (and then did a diff against my local copy of the file, and showed no differences).

What web browser are you using, on what platform? It's not practical for me to revisit every bit of SKILL code I've uploaded and add as an attachment - so I'd sooner sort out if there's a general problem (maybe as a result of our recent web upgrade on cadence.com)

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

Yes, your presumption "Adding elements to open form in SKILL" is correct.

I am using chrome to access the blog.  Could I search the answer only in Custom SKILL community instead of "reference manual" ? I do not see this option after web upgrade. The "search" icon searches information available in cadence.com.

    Thanks,

    ManChak

    Hi ManChak,

If you use the search in the top right corner (the magnifying glass icon) you can enter the keywords you wish to search for. Then you can filter the results to just show forum posts (there are some filters that appear on the left side of the results).

You say you're using Chrome, but on which platform? Windows? Linux? Mac? Have you tried a browser on Linux to see if the works?

I do have a ticket with our IT because I'm having some problems copying and pasting some of the code in browsers on the Mac, so I suspect there may be some tweaking we need to do somewhere after the web site upgrade.

    Regards,

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

"Cut and paste from your posting to vim" feature does not work. I got the following output.

OK, but you still haven't answered my question:

    Andrew Beckett said:

Can you please do that? Can you try the browser on Linux if you're not doing it on Linux already.

What you are seeing is that everything is folded onto a single line, with an additional piece of text at the end. I was seeing similar problems on Mac, but it was fine on Linux.

I'm gathering evidence to help get this fixed properly.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
