eco routing

I am trying to do eco route (nanoroute with ecoroute = true). I can only do changes in M2 and M3 and in the vias V12, V23.

I am able to limit nanoroute to only use M2 and M3 with ""setNanoRouteMode routeEcoOnlyInLayers 2:3"", but how do I allow it to use V12 without using M1?

Nanoroute should be able to do this automatically. If you are not using the latest release please try SOC41USR2. If you specify M2:M3 for frozen-metal ECO the router will create via12's if required to access the pin. If via12's are added the M1 of the via is placed entirely inside the M1 pin so the M1 mask does not change. If you are not seeing this behavior please open a Service Request with Cadence Customer Support.
