How to sort pins in a particular order?

Hi,

           I have a done a floor-plan and now the pin section need to be sorted and placed.... Initially this was sorted by name. But i have a specific order in which i want them to appear... So how should i tell the tool(encounter) that i want the pins to be placed in this specific order??..

There are around 900 pins....

    I think the best way to accomplish this is through the use of pin groups ("createPinGroup"/"addPinToPinGroup") and pin guides ("createPinGuide"). They provide ways to give automatic pin assignment guidance as to how you want it to behave, and specifying the order you want the pins to be placed is supported.
