How to adjust the core LL(lower left )Co-ordinates-(Origin) to 00 ?

Hi ,

In mydesign a FloorPlan was completed and after that i saw that my core's LL(Lower Left) Co-ordinate was not at (0 0) but at some negative values (-x,-y).......

1)      Is there any way to correct this relatively so that all my macros and pins also get adjusted?????

2)     One way of doing it is to edit the co-ordinates in the def and reload-----> very tedious....... can this be done in an easier fashion using encounter (Version 7.1) ????

Thanks & Regards,

NAADHAN

    Hi, DAADHAN,

I don't know the command/procedure to achieve it inside FE. I usually carry out such kind of adjustment inside Virtuoso layout editor after I finished P&R and put my result (through DEF file) into Virtuoso Layout editor.  It is quite easy there:  Edit->Other->Move Origin will take care everything for you.

    Thanks Tongju.....

This actually is a new input to me.... i did everything using encounter by changing the core, iocore, die co-ordinates LL to 00 and UR to the adjusted values....then again a snap pin....then again snapping macros....Generating tracks..... was a bit tedious :-(..

May be i should try your suggestion...thanks a lot Tongju
