Controlling the length of a wire for which it has to be taperred in width.

Hi friends,

I am doing some experiments with mixed signal router in encounter. Here , i can taper a wide wire up to width equal to that of pin width to which it has to be connected. But, this tappering has been done for only small length of wire. I wanted to know whether, this tappering can be done at a larger length or not. Is so ,plz tell me the command.

This is usually used to limit tapering, and not extend it, so I'm not sure it will work, but you can give it a try:

    setNanoRouteMode -drouteTaperDistLimit #

where # is an integer representing the number of routing tracks you want as the taper distance limit.

     Hai Kari,

Thank you for your response . But, iam not using nanorouter to perform above said routing . So, i wanted to do the same using Mixed signal router in Encounter . So please suggest me a possible solution  using mixed signal router.

    Regards,

Sorry, I misunderstood! You did say you were using the mixed signal router. I don't have any experience with that router. Just looking in the User Guide, it looks like there is some tapering control by using a constraint file, but it may not be exactly what you're looking for.
