Controlling the length of a wire for which it has to be taperred in width.

Hi friends,

 

           I am doing some experiments with mixed signal router in encounter. Here , i can taper a wide wire up to width equal to that of pin width to which it has to be connected. But, this tappering has been done for only small length of wire. I wanted to know whether, this tappering can be done at a larger length or not. Is so ,plz tell me the command.

  •  This is usually used to limit tapering, and not extend it, so I'm not sure it will work, but you can give it a try:

    setNanoRouteMode -drouteTaperDistLimit #

    where # is an integer representing the number of routing tracks you want as the taper distance limit.

    Thank you for your response . But, iam not using nanorouter to perform above said routing . So, i wanted to do the same using Mixed signal router in Encounter . So please suggest me a possible solution  using mixed signal router.

  •  Sorry, I misunderstood! You did say you were using the mixed signal router. I don't have any experience with that router. Just looking in the User Guide, it looks like there is some tapering control by using a constraint file, but it may not be exactly what you're looking for.
