Programmatic global net connect access

I was wondering if there is a programmatic way to get access to the globalNetConnect information.  For my power pins, I want to access what global net they are connected to.  I'm currently implementing it as a look-up table using array indices but it is breaking down when my users specify wildcard patterns for the pin name (i.e. globalNetConnect -pin PLL*VDD -net PLL_V10_25_VDD).  It looks like the GUI knows instantly which global net a pin is connected to by looking at the attribute pop-up.

Thanks,

JG

Hmm, I guess I'm going to answer my own question (not sure how I missed this before):

    set termPtr [dbGetPGTermByName $instPtr $pinName]
    set netPtr [dbPGTermNet $termPtr]
    set netName [dbNetName $netPtr]
