Hi i have a big block to synthesize. Inside this big block, I have a small block that is already custom designed. How can i tell RC not to touch this small block?

Thanks

You might get this error if you do the set_attribute before elaboration.

Another issue might be if it cannot find the module you specified. To test this try:

    find / -subdesign <module name>

on the rc command line to see if it finds the module that want to preserve.
