Hi, I am missing net as well as cell name information when I am exporting GDS2 from encounter and importing it into caliber (for RC+ coupling capacitance) extraction. Any suggestions on how to do it. Thanks Amit

When you are exporting GDS2 in encounter, there are options to attach instance and net names. I hope this helps.

     streamOut
        gdsFile
        [-attachInstanceName attributeNumber]
        [-attachNetName attributeNumber]

Thanks for your reply, actually I tried it, but not working, maybe I am making mistakes about attribute number which I am giving as some random number between 0-127, (different numbers for Instance Name and Net Name Thanks Amit

If you can post some of your error or warning when you  try to run Calibre extraction using GDS2 from encounter, that will make your problem more clear.

Are you getting something " ERROR: Cell MX2X2 is referenced but not defined." when importing GDS2 in calibre?

In your Encounter streamOut map file, do you have a NAME section? Refer to the documentation for the streamOut command, under the -mapFile option.

Pls note that in the above copy/Paste of map file formatting is missing -there are line breaks after every 4 strings as desired in a mapfile. Thanks Amit

I'm not a Calibre expert, but it looks like the verilog of your std cells was not included when you generated your netlist. Check your v2lvs settings.
