How do I generate full GDS using Encounter 2014 and osu_soc_v2.7 libraries?

Hi there,

I am self studying some place & route with Encounter 14. My background are design and synthesis.

The library I use is from this directory.

https://vlsiarch.ecen.okstate.edu/flows/MOSIS_SCMOS/osu_soc_v2.7/cadence/lib/

I managed to load netlist and LEF, create power ring, rail and stripes, place and route. The GDS I export doesn't contain the poly layers.

I suppose it's caused by the LEF file is abstract module which only contains the metal layers. I dont have virtusso to use.

Is it possible and how do I create a full gds with every layers out of Encounter alone?

    when exporting GDS, you merge in the gds files of the std cells, which should have come with the library delivery.

    streamOut -merge {listOfGdsFiles}
