WARN MESSAGE: (IMPESI-3014): The RC network is incomplete for

Hi,

I'm running a postCTS hold fix with INNOVUS 17.15, and I've some warning message like the following:

WARN: (IMPESI-3014): The RC network is incomplete for net xxx ....

Do you have an idea about why the tool can't extract the parasitic for that nets?

Hello Andrea,

Are you getting these messages during the hold fixing iteration? If you run "timeDesign -postCTS" on the DB, do you see similar messages?

If it is seen during hold fixing step it could be due to optimization removing and/or optimizing some cells causing net delay to be not computed. However, if you see this in postCTS or postRoute step, we surely need to check for details.

If it is seen during hold fixing step it could be due to optimization removing and/or optimizing some cells causing net delay to be not computed. However, if you see this in postCTS or postRoute step, we surely need to check for details.

Hi Chetan,

yes it's durine postCTS hold fix. Do you mean that the tool have an "old' version of netslist before the fixing, and try to extract a "gost" net?

Hi Andrea,

If these messages are seen during initial iterations in optDesign, it should be fine. However, post all optimization, if you do a timeDesign and see these messages, we should investigate.
