     Hi Sankara,

As a 'step zero', download the latest IUS62  ISR (currently IUS06.20.012) and try with that.  Your 06.20-p001 build is a year old and a great deal would have been fixed between then and no.

Aside:  Base releases are notoriously buggy, mostly because they haven't had an opportunity be get 'exercised' by the full set of Cadence customers.

     Hope this helps!

     Andrew.

     Hi Sankar,

Best contact Cadence Support to see if they can lend a hand.

Since it still happens in latest IUS62, it looks to me like it could be a really low-level OS/hardware issue.  Given that 2.4.x series kernel (versus more current 2.6.x series), my first suspicions would be that you're running too old a flavour of Linux for the hardware (x86_64, SMP).

...Or perhaps you simply don't have enough RAM and/or swap space (to address the 'virtual memory limit exceeded' message).

    Andrew.

     Hi Sankar,

I noticed that when you ran the 'p' version, the 64-bit binary was used.  Conversely when the s012 version was used it looks like the 32-bit binary was used.  Have you tried used the 64-bit version with the s012 release?

By the way opening an SR with Cadence customer support is a great idea.

    Best regards,
    Mickey

Hi Rohithosho, You are running into an internal error, the cause of which could be a variety of different things. The first thing I would recommend you do is open a service request with Cadence customer support by sending an email to support@cadence.com. Other things you could try... - remove any pli from the simulation and rerun to see if the cause is related to pli - remove sdf annotation and rerun to see if that is a symptom - add/remove access options. - download and rerun with the latest hotfix (8.20-s017) from downloads.cadence.com - if using -linedebug, remove it to see if that makes a diff are you running a power related simulation (using -lps_cpf ...) ? Best regards, Mickey

I am running into a similar error.

I have not found any such library related to verilog or systemverilog. Is an OS related issue  or a compiler issue ?

I had a similar issue. It got solved by running the simulation on a more compute intense machine. Thanks to Andrew, for the pointer on memory insufficiency.
