The SoC Verification Kit (shipped with the INCISIV92 tool) has a set of self-paced workshops for most verification topics, and you will find what you want in there.
First, make sure the kit is set up:

    setenv SOCV_KIT_HOME <path_to_incivis92>/KITSOCV92
    source $SOCV_KIT_HOME/env.csh

    Next, run the kit documentation:

    start_kit &

This opens a browser where you can locate the topics of interest. Under the "Quick Links" section try "Metric-Driven Verification Methodology". This gives you a page with lots of explanations of the concepts etc, then when you're comfortable with that, at the bottom of the page is a link to the more detailed aspects of how the Cadence technology works.

If you're really impatient, you can use the hierarchy browser on the left side of the window, to locate "Kit Workshop Content" and go to the workshops. On the content page there are video recordings of Cadence experts demonstrating the flows, and there are also links to the lab files and workshop notes that you can then work through yourself using the demo designs.

If you need help, contact your local Cadence AE who will be very happy to come and help you.

    Hi Avit.

Can you please be a bit more specific? Which directory cannot be found, and which command / step is reporting the error?

Did you follow the steps exactly, setting the SOCV_KIT_HOME directory first? Perhaps you could paste your screen output here, so I can see exactly what you tried.

By the way, there is no such version as 09.20.03; the 09 stream started with 09.20.006.

     HI Stephen,

I donot see an env.sh in the  KITSOCV92 folder . So I not able to source it to start the KIT.

Could you help me locate the executable to run the Kit.

    Thank

    Avit

There should be both an env.sh and an env.csh. If they are missing, it's likely that your IT/CAD person did not install and configure the INCISIV release properly. Check with them that they had set up the CDS_LIC_FILE or LM_LICENSE_FILE before running InstallScape.

If they had forgotten, then they can set the license up, run InstallScape again and just "configure" the INCISIV installation, it should then set the kit up properly.

If that still doesn't help, I suggest that you file a service request at http://support.cadence.com/ so that one of the support team can help you to resolve the problem.
