The SoC Verification Kit (shipped with the INCISIV92 tool) has a set of self-paced workshops for most verification topics, and you will find what you want in there.
First, make sure the kit is set up:

    setenv SOCV_KIT_HOME <path_to_incivis92>/KITSOCV92
    source $SOCV_KIT_HOME/env.csh

    Next, run the kit documentation:

    start_kit &

This opens a browser where you can locate the topics of interest. Under the "Quick Links" section try "Metric-Driven Verification Methodology". This gives you a page with lots of explanations of the concepts etc, then when you're comfortable with that, at the bottom of the page is a link to the more detailed aspects of how the Cadence technology works.

If you're really impatient, you can use the hierarchy browser on the left side of the window, to locate "Kit Workshop Content" and go to the workshops. On the content page there are video recordings of Cadence experts demonstrating the flows, and there are also links to the lab files and workshop notes that you can then work through yourself using the demo designs.

If you need help, contact your local Cadence AE who will be very happy to come and help you.
