Is it possible to create two vcd files during the same simulation

I have to create two vcd files. One which starts at zero time and ends when a specific signal changes, and one which start right after.

Is it possible to do it with xceliun by tcl commands?

  • Yes, that can be achieved using the "database" and "probe" commands, combined with a breakpoint on the signal that you want to wait for. There are many possible ways to do it, here's an example.

    database -open timezero -vcd
    probe -create -name timezeroprobe -database timezero [scope -tops] -all -depth all
    database -open secondpart -vcd
    probe -create -name secondpartprobe -database secondpart [scope -tops] -all -depth all
    probe -disable secondpartprobe
    stop -create -condition {[value %d top.count] = 100} -command {probe -disable timezeroprobe; probe -enable secondpartprobe} -continue -delbreak 1
