why IUS so sloooooow ?

I tried the same OVM based testbench on IUS8.2-S012 and VCS0906 , and there is an amazing performance contrast !

VCS is 7X more faster than IUS !

    Hi duckfly,

    I do not know why the difference in performance but difference of such magnitude tend to point to setup issues most likely.

    If any tool was 7x faster than the other, the whole market would use such tool. Indeed not the case.

    I suggest you post some additional detail on this issue to the functional verification forum where I am sure

    someone will be able to better help. This forum is intended most for synthesis and formal verification users
