Error in RCX in Assura

Hi,

I have made a layout of a simple inverter in UMC 90 nm technology. The design passed through the DRC and the LVS check but while running the RCX in assura, it is showing library models donot exist. The log file is also attached herewith. Kindly guide me in completing RC Extraction.

Regards,

On the Setup tab of the QRC form, turn off "Enable CellView check". BTW, you appear to be using a rather old version...

    Jayanta,

Apologies - I didn't read properly the end of the file (the trouble with it being a word document - it's quite hard to read log files in Word). The checks are warnings because you've turned off Enable CellView check - so that's not the issue.

The problem is the error at the end:

'/home/guests/phd/pjayanta/UMC_90/RuleDecks/Assura/LVS/../LPE/Option10/rcxfs.dat', No such file or directory

This is because you are trying to run with the Field Solver turned on (on the extraction tab) but don't have the data in the technology setup to use the field solver. If you really need to use a 10 year old software version, you should contact the foundry to provide this (I only have an old reference as to how to regenerate this yourself, but it has warnings all over it saying that none of this is supported any more).

Probably the simplest is just to run with the field solver turned off (I am assuming that you do have it turned on; the fact that it has checked out the license for it suggests that this is the case too).

    Hello Sir,

I turned off the Field Solver as suggested. Now it is showing NCAPGATE_25 not defined in LVS file. I have attached the log file also. Kindly check and sugest.

You appear to be running Assura RCX which hasn't been supported for a very, very, long time.

I'm not sure that Quantus QRC will fix this, but the very first thing you should do is try using current releases (IC618, Assura 4.1 for IC6.1.8, Quantus 20.1 or 21.1). If that doesn't resolve it, you should contact the foundry - as I mentioned before. I don't think it's just a matter of turning a switch off (sorry I can't help more - it would need access to the technology data and the ancient software version you're using)

Thank you sir for the suggestions. I will talk with my Professor to update the Assura to newer version.
