RMS value of transient sub-interval

Daniel Stracke

Hello,

is there an easy way to determine the RMS value of a transient waveform for a specific time-interval
in Cadence virtuoso?

The rms function itself does not provide such parameters and I could not find a way to define the transient
waveform parameter itself within the time-interval.

Best regards

Daniel

    Daniel,

Use the clip function to limit a waveform to a particular x range and then use the rms function on the result of the clip function.

    Regards,

    Andrew
