hello

i do know that we can delete some area on clines by the "delete by rectangle" command.

but is there a way to select the cline area by poligon to delete so that the area is not a rectangle but a parallelogram as show below?

regards

masa

There was a SKILL named scalpel. it basically trims the traces at poligon intersect. then, the only thing to do is delete what you need. Look for "Scalpel skill file" in this comunity and you will find it.

    thank u for ur response.

unfortunately the skill code does not work,

this code deletes clines located outside of the selection area and does not delete clines located inside of the selection area.

it looks like any clines which are not vertical and horizontal are ignored on this code and any clines on the selected area are deleted by segment.

    regards

    Hi Masa,

It is possible to do a delete by rectangle so that segments either inside or outside the area get deleted. This would be a regular rectangle not one that is offset. Have you tried it out ?, seems fairly usable.

Go to Manufacture > Drafting and choose "Delete by rectangle" , next go to the options panel and select remove within rectangle.

Next draw a rectangle around your clines so they highlight, then draw the rectangle again to cover the area of those highlighted cline's and
the area inside the rectangle will get deleted.

    Best regards.
