Footprint Viewer Not Present / Missing in OrCAD Capture 17.2

The footprint viewer functionality appears to be missing in OrCAD Capture 17.2.  Can anyone else confirm and/or suggest a fix?

Hi mrigashira, I just tried to do this and the "Show Footprint" command doesn't do anything. I wonder if it is because I have the tcl script (mentioned above in this thread) installed, and maybe it's blocking the integrated feature? Any ideas?

If you have used the tcl file above you need to rename the file capFootprintViewer.tcl to .old or move it away from the capAutoLoad directory, then restart Capture

Yes, I believe you should try that as mentioned by steve. You might also want to doublecheck the INI file, first, it has to be the one in your %HOME% directory (example: C:\Users\jfuoco\cdssetup\OrCAD_Capture\17.2.0\Capture.ini) and second, the variables and values in the [Footprint Viewer Type] and [Allegro Footprints] sections are correct.

Bingo, that fixed it. Weirdly when I was viewing this thread I hadn't seen the response from steve but upon renaming the file to .old all is well. Thanks guys!!
