Library Characterization Tidbits: Rewind and Replay

16 Apr 2020 • 3 minute read

Hello readers,

How are you doing?

A lot is happening around us since the past couple of months, isn't it? The world is shaken up by a tiny virus. Hope you are safe from the notorious COVID-19 and are taking the necessary precautions. This shall pass too!

As a result of this pandemic, almost all of us are restricted to be within our homes (undoubtedly the safest zone to be in!) and are multitasking in the best possible ways to fulfil our commitments at home and work. Talking of the work commitments, fulfilling one of mine, here I bring to you a recap of the most popular blogs published in the Library Characterization Tidbits blog series. The Liberate blogging team had announced this series in November 2019 and till date seven blogs have been published through it. The number of sign-ups for the series is encouraging and it continues to be on a rising trend.

Here’s a quick recap of the top three* blogs that have captured interest of many readers since the series was launched:

  • Library Characterization Tidbits: Basics of Standard Cell Characterization and More
Covers the five stages involved in characterization of standard cell libraries.
  • Library Characterization Tidbits: Creating Statistical Libraries for Standard Cells and IO Cells
Explains how to use the LiberateTM VarietyTM statistical characterization solution to generate a statistical characterization models for standard cell libraries.
  • Library Characterization Tidbits: Over the Clouds and Beyond with Arm-Based Graviton and Cadence Liberate Trio
Gives an insight into the enhanced Liberate Trio, a cloud-based and artificially intelligent solution that enables optimum performance with lesser cost and smaller turnaround time.

*The top three blogs have been identified based on the number of unique views.

A few other blogs that don't feature as top three but have certainly caught attention of the readers are as follows:

  • Library Characterization Tidbits: Liberate MX for Memory Characterization Video Series
Talks about an informative set of videos that demonstrate the characterization of memory instances for timing, power, and noise.
  • Library Characterization Tidbits: Exploring Intuitive Means to Characterize Large Mixed-Signal Blocks
Reviews the benefits of using the graphical user interface of Liberate AMS to perform mixed-signal characterization.
  • Library Characterization Tidbits: Validating Libraries Effectively
Introduces two rapid adoption kits that help you quickly ramp-up of the Liberate LV library validation flows.

Are you subscribed to Library Characterization Tidbits yet? If not, I'll recommend that you subscribe to this blog series that has write-ups on the existing and newly introduced library characterization features, news, and related updates. Your subscription encourages and motivates us to continue to collaborate with the characterization experts and publish many more interesting and knowledgeable reads.
