It would be great to have some more information about the hardware/OS and the icfb version

For a start you could try this:   icfb -nosplash

Thank you in advance for the help.

6 years ago, that topic/problem was also asked. A certain Lawrence Davis had a solution but he is referring to another topic in the forum that is already removed from the list. So I cannot review it anymore.

Hope this give an answer. I running on a linux station KDE 4.3.4 and version is cds5141_6_151 in cadence 5, I want to re-run an old project for inspiration ;-)

Please also provide the link to the other post you found (that Lawrence referenced the solution from) - it's quite possible that I can fix the topic it references (it's unlikely it's been removed - but the URL may be wrong).

Does this stop "icfb" from running? Or is it just an error message that bothers you?

    Andrew.

OK, the link itself is OK, but because it's pointing to an article for a long-obsolete release, it's been marked as an obsolete article as so is no longer published for customers on Cadence Online Support.

However, the recommendation in that article is just to run "icfb -nosplash" which is what Lawrence (and Marc above) suggested. Did you try running "icfb -nosplash"?

    Andrew.

You seem to miss all the adobe fonts we try to use.  You can check if they are available with:  xlsfonts | grep adobe
Some admin needs to install them.  Maybe you should also run a
    checkSysConf    ( $CDSHOME/tools/bin/checkSysConf IC5.1.41)
to see if your system libs are up to the task.
