Dc level shifter

Hi i have a signal varying from - 0.3 to 0.5 volts

What's the simplest way to dc shift it all to positive value all by the same ratio

Like 0 to 0.8

    Like 0 to 0.8

    If you signal name is x, is there are reason you cannot create a new signal y with y set to

    y = x - ymin(x)

    The signal varying from - 0.3 - 0.5I s the output of a circuit and i want to use it in another circuit as input so i want to shift it

    Are you suggesting you are running a single simulation and want to shift the DC value of a -0.30 V to +0.50 V signal to create a new signal which is always greater than 0 for application tothe input to a different subciruit? I am still not perfectly clear as to what your needs are - sorry!

    If so, and you know a priori what the maximum and minimum voltage is for your bipolar signal, then you have at least two options:

    1. You could use a voltage controlled voltage source and apply an input voltage to offset your signal (see attached file for a full example)

    2. You could AC couple the signal input your next subcircuit using a resistive ladder to level shift its value.

    Without full knowledge of what your real need is, I thought I would at least pass these thoughts to you.
