Differences between APD & CDNSIP

Hi All,

Can anyone please help me understand the main differences between APD & CDNSIP apart from the difference in their file formats ? When is one used over the other ?

Asking mainly from the point of view of 17.2 version of Allegro and not 17.4

r u talking about differences between apd and sip?

sip has die stack editor and advanced sip options, which cadence calls co-design and which apd does not.

i do not use sip so i do not know much.
