DB Doctor download?

If anyone still facing this issue, I found a solution.

Note: This is for people who have this issue but don't have a cadence software suite or license. The ideal solution would be using the DB Doctor software but that requires a cadence license.

You can download the 16.6 version of Allegro Free Physical Viewer from this link. I can open the .brd files generated from 16.6 allegro without any issues.

Hello, I'm still having the same issue. I have the version 25.1 installed, and got the same message saying that the design was last saved using version 16.6 and must be updated using DB Doctor. I only have the free PCB viewer. Is it possible to provide the DB Doctor?

I am receiving the same error and looking for support here.  With the free viewer is their no way to view outdated design files?

Hello John, I'm looking for the solution. 
the Allegro X free viewer version I'm using is 24.1 -  the latest version available. 

I need to open files which are 16.6 version.

Hi Rita, I have discussed this in our technical team to check for another solution. Dbdoctor is not available as a standalone. Ideally the best solution would be to provide an older version of the freeviewer. A secondary option is that I can convert the design for you. I will friend request you on the community so we can exchange data by pm.
