IC Packagers: Stepping into 2020

30 Dec 2019 • 2 minute read

IC Packagers: Cadence IC Packaging BlogsWe started 2019 with the promise to cover all the topics that might interest you as we go, looking at a new area every week. To keep this promise we had a whole lot of exciting tasks. To start with we needed to know what you want to read? What will make your tasks easier and more productive leading to quality products? Then we had to prioritize, to choose the topics with the most impact. Initially, we had come up with five topics that we thought will be the most useful and Tyler announced the series with his post  IC Packagers: Coming Soon to a Blog Near You. That promise was kept. We have been able to post every week. And, we are enthused as we almost begin the new year because you have found our posts useful. Each week we see more of you reading and rereading the posts making our efforts worthwhile. The comments we receive from you enthuse us and give us direction, either by confirming that we are on the right course or by letting us know what's the best course.

We thought right now is the time to look back at the posts that you found the most useful as well as highlight a few hidden gems. So, here we go.

It was a struggle to identify the top five posts because all the posts are equally useful and you seemed to have liked them all. But we created our own algorithm to glean out the top five for you.

  1. Welcome to 17.4
  2. Wrap Your Hands Around a Coil
  3. The Spaces Between Your Dies
  4. Scripting Updates in 17.4
  5. Create Daisy Chain Substrates in a Flash with Cadence SiP Layout

Here are five posts we consider worth a read, we term them the hidden gems.

  1. Expanding Your (Thermal) Repertoire
  2. When Being Two-Sided Is a Good Thing
  3. Constructing Components from Manufacturing Data
  4. Dealing with Large Forms in Low-Resolution Screens
  5. Bend in Both Directions with J-Loop Bond Wires

We want to thank all of you, our readers, for your comments and suggestions. And, we renew our promise to keep updating posts every week in 2020, too.

We wish you a happy new year.
