Virtuosity: In the Line of Veri-Fire – Looking Back and beyond!

28 Jan 2021 • 6 minute read

Hi readers! Welcome to Veri-Fire, a blog series that helps you deep dive into Virtuoso® ADE Verifier and learn about its various whys and hows. In this series, Walter Hartong, a Product Engineering Architect at Cadence, has answered some frequently asked questions on Virtuoso ADE Verifier. Check out the series for some interesting explanations and solutions! And if you have any specific questions in mind, feel free to send those to
 veri-fire@cadence.com.
For the questions that have come to Walter so far, visit the Virtuoso ADE Verifier FAQ page.

The year 2020 was a unique year across the globe. Throughout the year, we experienced many ups and downs, saw many innovations, felt a need for better networking and technology, and hence, an astounding boom in the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) domain.

On these very lines, Virtuoso ADE Verifier continued its upward spiral of growth by improving in terms of performance, usability, and new features to meet as well as improve your verification needs. And then In the Line of Veri-Fire came to life! Looking back, the reason we introduced the In the Line of Veri-Fire mini-series was to help you learn and adopt some very useful features that Virtuoso ADE Verifier supports today that can help you gain tremendous performance and productivity gains.

These blogs talk about the best approach to get started with Virtuoso ADE Verifier and provide a sneak peek into the various benefits of the tool as well as the ideal size of groups and the industries that can use it to their advantage. While you get to know how to interpret technical jargon, as well as know about the new features introduced for a specific release, you also get to know the advantages of using Virtuoso ADE Verifier, as opposed to traditional verification tools. A few areas that we have also touched upon are command-line usage, set up of simulation resources, "What If" analysis, and analog coverage in Virtuoso ADE Verifier.

While we are aware of your interest in Virtuoso ADE Verifier, we also want you to know that your opinion matters! We see this space as a platform where we can connect with you and know what you have to say about this series, the good, the bad, the ugly (we hope not!).

But we need your help! We want you to send us your questions and your concerns. We want to know about those scenarios that put you in a bind when you use Virtuoso ADE Verifier, and topics that you would like to see covered in this space. Reach out to us at veri-fire@cadence.com and let us know how you want to see this series going forward.

Wishing you and your loved ones a happy and safe 2021 !
